Coffee is the fruit of the coffee tree’s bush. At first, this shrub grew only in Africa, but then it spread all over the world. Cultivation of coffee – takes place in the so-called “coffee belt”, in several dozen countries lying between the Tropic of Cancer and Tropic of Capricorn. Moderate constant temperature, adequate sunshine, fertile soil and the right amount of coffee plantations, all this translates into the final effect, i.e. the taste and aroma of coffee. The height of the crop is of great importance, the higher above the sea level is the plantation, the more fruit notes the coffee gains, the lower the taste becomes earthy, bland. The perfect arabica grows above 800-1200 meters above sea level. The world leader in the production of coffee is Brazil, which, thanks to more than 300,000 plantations, produces almost 2.5 million tons of coffee a year. It is 1/3 of world production. Currently, more and more attention is paid to responsible agriculture, natural fertilizers and appropriate working conditions. If you really want it, maybe you can grow a coffee tree at home, but you should wait at least three or four years for fruit, if they appear.
