Q-grader – (z ang. quality grader) – osoba profesjonalnie oceniająca jakość kawy.

Q-grader potrafi w sposób niezwykle szczegółowy i obiektywny opisać kawę, jej cechy charakterystyczne, wskazać defekty i ocenić w sposób punktowy konkretne ziarna. Oceniane są zarówno surowe, zielone ziarna jak i próbki wypalonej kawy. To nos i kubki smakowe q-gradera decydują o tym czy dana kawa odpowiada jakości “speciality”. Żeby zostać q-graderem trzeba przejść specjalne szkolenie, zdać wieloetapowy egzamin i co trzy lata przechodzić obowiązkową weryfikację swoich umiejętności. To wciąż zawód niszowy: w 2015 roku  na świecie było zaledwie niecałe cztery tysiące osób mogących pochwalić się certyfikatem wydawanym przez Speciality Coffee Association.
